Our story

Tauranga Tyre & Battery is a family-owned workshop at 56 First Avenue, a short walk from the waterfront. We've been keeping Tauranga drivers safe on the road since 2007, and the team brings more than twenty years of industry experience to every car that comes through the door.

We supply and fit tyres for cars, SUVs, 4WDs and motorhomes from budget to performance, and we're an authorised Super Charge battery dealer with batteries for cars, marine, motorhomes and ride-on mowers. Wheel alignments, balancing, rotations and puncture repairs are all done in-house.

How we work

Tyres and batteries are usually the last thing on the list until something goes wrong. That's why we offer free tyre and battery health checks — drive in and we'll tell you honestly what needs doing now, what can wait, and what it'll cost. If a rotation will get you more life out of the tyres you've already got, that's what we'll recommend. Afterpay and WINZ quotes are both welcome.
